Taxonomy
Myonia komiensiformis was named by Biakov (2022). Its type specimen is SVKNII 4/02-06.114, a valve, and it is a mold. Its type locality is Levyi Vodopadnyi Creek, outcrop 8, bed 2, Omolon Massif, which is in a Capitanian marine siliciclastic in the Gizhiga Formation of the Russian Federation.
