Taxonomy
Masculostrobus rajmahalensis was named by Rao (1943). It is not extant. Its type locality is Nipania, which is in the Jurassic of horizon the Parsora Formation India. It is the type species of Podostrobus.
It was recombined as Podostrobus rajmahalensis by Rao and Bose (1971) and Chandra and Tewari (1991).
