Taxonomy
Paleobathycrinus endelmani was named by Klikushin (1982). Its type specimen is KM-116-1 at Structural and Marine Geology Chair of Leningrad Mining Institute and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Bathycrinus endelmani by Hess and Messing (2011).
