Diprionomys parvus
Taxonomy
Diprionomys parvus was named by Kellogg (1910) [genotype]. Its type specimen is UCMP 12566, a mandible (right mandible with incisor, p4, m1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Thousand Creek Formation, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Thousand Creek Formation of Nevada. It is the type species of Diprionomys.
