Palaeoapsilocephala vagabunda
Taxonomy
Rueppellia vagabunda was named by Cockerell (1927). Its type specimen is BMNH IN 26827, an exoskeleton (complete fly), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Florissant (BMNH Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Apsilocephala vagabunda by Hauser and Irwin (2005) and Zhang et al. (2017); it was recombined as Palaeoapsilocephala vagabunda by Hauser and Greenwalt (2022).
