Perijasaurus lapaz
Taxonomy
Perijasaurus lapaz was named by Rincón et al. (2022). Its type specimen is UCMP 37689, a set of vertebrae (Partial dorsal vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Arroyo Lameador, north of the Manaure-La Paz road, which is in a Toarcian/Aalenian floodplain sandstone in the La Quinta Formation of Colombia. It is the type species of Perijasaurus.
