Boreognathus pogorevichi
Taxonomy
Boreognathus pogorevichi was named by Shcherbakov et al. (2022). Its type specimen is PIN 1631/332, a cephalon/head (dorsal maxillary apparatus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vorgashor, Well VK-1341, 379.5-382.0 m, which is in a Kungurian marginal marine siliciclastic in the Lek-Vorkuta Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Boreognathus.
