A. E. H. Pedder 2010Solitary rugose coral. Peripheral wall sep- tothecate without periodic calicinal extensions, or other ex- ternal indications of rejuvenescences. Cardinal septum and bilateral arrangement of septa prominent in early stages. Septa variously bent but not carinate, complete in early sta- ges, and in all but the earliest stages, withdrawn from axis. Major septa commonly based on wide, steeply inclined presepiments in late stages. Sclerenchymal investment of septa and the steeply inclined dissepimentarial-tabularial surfaces thick in early to middle stages.
