Taxonomy
Aristolochioxylon prakashii was named by Kulkarni and Patil (1977). It is not extant. Its type locality is Nawargaon, which is in a Paleogene fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Deccan Intertrappean Formation of India. It is the type species of Aristolochioxylon.
