Canarioxylon was named by Prakash et al.. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Burseraceae by Srivastava (1991).

Synonyms
  • Canarioxylon deccanii was named by Yawale and Sakundarwar (1983). It is not extant. Its type locality is Mahurzari, which is in a Paleogene lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal horizon in the Deccan Intertrappean Formation of India.

    It was considered a nomen nudum by Srivastava (1991).
