Taxonomy
Pseudagnostus (Pseudagnostus) mortensis was named by Shergold (1980). Its type specimen is CPC 15022, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Horse Creek K218, which is in an Iverian open shallow subtidal grainstone in the Chatsworth Formation of Australia.
