Franimys amherstensis

Taxonomy
Franimys amherstensis was named by Wood (1962). Its type specimen is A.C.M. No. 10524, a partial skeleton (partial skeleton with partial skull, lower jaw, 16 vertebrae, pelvis, femur, tibia, fibula, and pes), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SC-119 Franimys Hill, which is in a Clarkforkian terrestrial horizon in Wyoming. It is the type species of Franimys.
