Taxonomy
Sterculioxylon kalagarhense was named by Trivedi and Ahuja (1978). It is not extant. Its type locality is Kalagarh, which is in a Miocene fluvial horizon in the Lower Formation of India.

It was recombined as Sterculinium kalagarhense by Guleria (1983) and Srivastava (1991).
