Jillua was named by Krumbeck (1913) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr u]. It is not extant. Its type is Jillua tubifera.
It was assigned to Hydrocorallinae by Krumbeck (1913); to Spongiomorphida by Bayer et al. (1956); and to Hydrozoa by Sepkoski (2002).
