Goniacodon levisanus

Taxonomy
Triisodon levisianus was named by Cope (1883). Its type specimen is AMNH 3217, a mandible (Right dentary with p4 (fragment) and m1–2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rock Bench Quarry, which is in a Torrejonian terrestrial horizon in Wyoming. It is the type species of Goniacodon.

It was recombined as Mioclaenus levisanus by Cope (1888); it was recombined as Goniacodon levisanus by Scott (1892), Matthew (1897), Hay (1902), Hay (1930), Matthew (1937), Gingerich (1978), Rigby (1980), Williamson and Lucas (1993), Williamson (1996) and Scott et al. (2013).
