Fusioolithus dholiyaensis
Taxonomy
Megaloolithus dholiyaensis was named by Khosla and Sahni (1995). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is VPL/KH 451, an egg, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Dholiya, Dhar, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Lameta Formation of India.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Mohabey (2005); it was recombined as Fusioolithus dholiyaensis by Khosla and Lucas (2023) and Dhiman et al. (2023).
