Multifissoolithus shimonosekiensis
Taxonomy
Multifissoolithus shimonosekiensis was named by Imai et al. (2021). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is SAM-Z-2019001 and FPDM-V-9770, an egg, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ayaragi River, Shimonoseki, which is in an Aptian/Albian fluvial sandstone in the Sujigahama Formation of Japan.
