Taxonomy
Coniproetus (Coniproetus) bongo was named by Šnajdr (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Slivenec Limestone, Kacak estuary, Nowakia horizon 3, which is in a Pragian carbonate limestone in the Slivenec Limestone Formation of the Czech Republic.
It was recombined as Coniproetus bongo by Vaněk and Valíček (2002).
