Taxonomy
Pudoproetus priscus was named by Feist and Petersen (1995). Its type specimen is BYU 5058, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Section F. 60 meters below base of Joanna Limestone, Confusion Range, which is in a Famennian marine shale in the Pilot Shale Formation of Utah.
