Gerastos (Bohemiproetus) gagis was named by Šnajdr (1980). Its type specimen is UUG-JV 3290 and is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Coniproetus gagis by Vaněk and Valíček (2002); it was recombined as Bohemiproetus gagis by Wagner (2020).
