Taxonomy
Cornuproetus (Cornuproetus) veleslavini was named by Přibyl (1969). Its type specimen is SBMN-IT 242 CF 604 (complete enrolled specimen) and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Voigtaspis veleslavini by Šnajdr (1980).
