Kollarcephalus granatai

Taxonomy
Kollarcephalus granatai was named by Brezinski (2000). Its type specimen is CM 45766 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Indian Wells Canyon, Alamogordo, Caballero Formation, Otero, which is in a Kinderhookian offshore shelf wackestone in the Caballero Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Kollarcephalus.

D. K. Brezinski 2000Glabella forward tapering, widest between suboval, posteriorly located palpebral lobes. Frontal lobe broadly anteriorly rounded. Pygidium with discernable pleural and interpleural furrows and faint border. Axis narrow, with wide, smooth rings and narrow ring furrows. Pleural fields with anterior bands extending onto border.
