Taxonomy
Prantlia grindrodi was named by Owens (1973) [= 1878 Proetus grindrodi Edgell MS; Huxley, Newton & Etheridge, p. 84 [nom. nud.].]. Its type specimen is GSM 3303 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Malvern Tunnel, which is in a Sheinwoodian/Homerian marine shale in the Coalbrookdale Formation of the United Kingdom.
