Taxonomy
Chapmanoxylon indicum was named by Pant and Singh (1987). It is not extant. Its type locality is Shrirampur Colliery, Raniganj Coalfield, which is in a Permian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Raniganj Formation of India.
