Taxonomy
Menorcaspis papiolensis was named by Gandl et al. (2015). Its type specimen is MGSB 5012 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Papiol 1, which is in an Asbian marine shale/limestone in the El Papiol Formation of Spain.
