Liobole (Liobole) angustigena was named by Gandl et al. (2015) [Liobole (Liobole?) angustigena]. Its type specimen is MGSB 1175 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Papiol 1, which is in an Asbian marine shale/limestone in the El Papiol Formation of Spain.
