Taxonomy
Dechenella rospensis was named by Basse (1996). Its type specimen is 967-56-8, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gummersbach VI. W-Weite Bahneinschnitt, which is in an Eifelian carbonate limestone/limestone in the Wiedenest Formation of Germany.
