Taxonomy
Dechenella allendorfensis was named by Basse (1996). Its type specimen is SMF 55627a, b (librigena) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Plettenberg III. Steinbruch an der Straße Hagen-Allendorf, which is in a Givetian carbonate sandstone/limestone in the Oberen Newberrien Formation of Germany.
