Nadalina was named by Narbonne and Hofmann (1987) [Sepkoski's age data: V u]. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type is Nadalina yukonensis.

It was assigned to Medusae by Sepkoski (2002) and Mayoral et al. (2004).
