Taxonomy
Hyaenictitherium minimum was named by de Bonis et al. (2005). Its type specimen is TM 204–01–029, a mandible (fragment de mandibule gauche avec canine cassée, alvéoles de p1–p2, moitié mésiale de p3, p4–m1, alvéole de m2 et fragment de mandibule droite avec alvéoles de ), and it is a 3D body fossil.
