Hylomeryx quadricuspis
Taxonomy
Sphenomeryx quadricuspis was named by Peterson (1919). Its type specimen is CM 2346, a partial skull (Portions of right and left maxillae and rami of the mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kennedy's Hole, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah.
It was recombined as Hylomeryx quadricuspis by Gazin (1955), Stucky (1998) and Theodor et al. (2007).
