Vacunella elongata

Bivalvia - Sanguinolitidae

Taxonomy
Sanguinolites elongatus was named by Ciriacks (1963). Its type specimen is USNM 140517, a shell (Bivalved specimen), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Horseshoe Canyon, Daggett County, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Park City Formation of Utah.

It was recombined as Vacunella elongata by Prinoth and Posenato (2023).
