Rangeomorpha - Charniidae
If no rank is listed, the taxon is considered an unranked clade in modern classifications. Ranks may be repeated or presented in the wrong order because authors working on different parts of the classification may disagree about how to rank taxa.
|S. Conway Morris 1993||Bilaterally symmetrical foliate animal with blunt holdfast. Leaf elongate and flattened, with central broad axis. On one side branches arise on either side of axis, connected by narrow strands, possibly canals. Proximal branches elongate, recurved adapically towards leaf margins; distal branches more quadrate. Branches and other areas adjacent to axis papillate, possibly zooids. Opposite side of leaf bears longitudinal ridges.|
