Taxonomy
Ronquillomys wilsoni was named by Jacobs (1977) [genotype]. Its type locality is Redington, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Quiburis Formation of Arizona. It is the type species of Ronquillomys.
It was recombined as Kansasimys wilsoni by Korth (1994).
