Eomicrobiotherium diluculum
Taxonomy
Eomicrobiotherium diluculum was named by Chornogubsky et al. (2023) [Diagnosis: The molar, as in other species of Eomicrobiotherium, has a welldeveloped and mesially projected paraconid, a metaconid slightly distal to the protoconid, and a deep talonid basin with a labially projected hypoconid. However, it differs from any other species of the genus in its larger size and more bunoid appearance. It differs from E. gaudryi in that its metaconid is not so distally projected and has a more centrally placed hypoconulid. It differs from E. mykerum and E. matutinum in having a proportionally smaller talonid with the entoconid more mesially placed.]. Its type specimen is MPEF-PV 10514, a set of teeth (isolated m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cerro Pan de Azucar, which is in a Ypresian/Lutetian terrestrial horizon in Argentina.
