Plionictis gazini

Taxonomy
Martes (Tomictis) gazini was named by Hall (1931). Its type specimen is CIT 391, a mandible (left lower jaw bearing Ml, Ps, the alveolus of M2, and the alveoli of P4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Skull Spring, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial volcaniclastic in the Butte Creek Formation of Oregon.

It was recombined as Plionictis gazini by Baskin (1998).
