Taxonomy
Ammonites bakeriae was named by Sowerby (1827). It is the type species of Siemiradzkia.

It was replaced with Ammonites aurigerus by Oppel (1857); it was recombined as Siemiradzkia bakeriae by Hyatt (1900).
