Ammonites curvicosta was named by Oppel (1857). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Perisphinctes curvicosta by Waagen (1875); it was recombined as Grossouvria curvicosta by Spath (1931); it was recombined as Indosphinctes (Elatmites) curvicosta by Mangold (1970).
