It was recombined as Mesohippus condoni by Matthew (1899) and Merriam (1907); it was considered a nomen dubium by Osborn (1918); it was recombined as Miohippus condoni by Marsh (1874), King (1878), Roger (1896), Trouessart (1898), Hay (1902), Osborn (1904), Matthew (1909), Hay (1930) and Stirton (1940).
