Taxonomy
Torquatisphinctes naifaensis was named by Howarth (1998). It is not extant. Its type specimen is BMNH CA974. Its type locality is Naifa Cliff-5, which is in the Tithonian/Kimmeridgian of lime mudstone the Naifa Formation Yemen.
