Taxonomy
Phacops (Reedops) maurulus was named by Alberti (1969). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Trilobite Marl in the Rechoua Limestone, RT XI/2, Rabat-Tiflet Area, Morocco, which is in a Pragian marine limestone/marl in the Rechoua Limestone Formation of Morocco.
It was recombined as Reedops maurulus by Lemke (2020).
