Taxonomy
Neotoma (Paraneotoma) sawrockensis was named by Hibbard (1967). Its type specimen is UMMP 41396, a tooth (right M1), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Saw Rock Canyon (Lower), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in the Rexroad Formation of Kansas.
