Ondatra idahoensis
Taxonomy
Ondatra idahoensis was named by Wilson (1933). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jackass Butte (USGS 20764), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in Idaho.
It was recombined as Pliopotamys idahoensis by Hibbard (1941) and Shotwell (1970); it was synonymized subjectively with Ondatra zibethicus by Martin (1993).
