Ourayia uintensis

Taxonomy
Microsyops uintensis was named by Osborn (1895). Its type specimen is AMNH 1899, a mandible (jaw containing two premolars and two molars), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is White River Pocket, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah.

It was recombined as Omomys uintensis by Wortman (1904); it was recombined as Notharctus uintensis by Granger and Gregory (1917); it was recombined as Ourayia uintensis by Gazin (1958), Simons (1961), Robinson (1968), Szalay (1976), Krishtalka (1978) and Gunnell (1995).
