Palaeolagus hypsodus
Taxonomy
Palaeolagus hypsodus was named by Schlaikjer (1935) [status questioned by Tabrum et al. 1996]. Its type specimen is MCZ 2889, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bear Creek Mountain (West 2), which is in an Arikareean terrestrial horizon in the Harrison Formation of Wyoming.
