Taxonomy
Parablastomeryx scotti was named by Frick (1937) [type of subgenus Pseudoparablastomeryx]. Its type locality is Observation Quarry, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in Nebraska.

It was recombined as Pseudoparablastomeryx scotti by Taylor and Webb (1976), Webb (1998) and Vislobokova (2001).
