Taxonomy
Miolabis tenuis was named by Matthew (1924). Its type locality is Thomson Quarry, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in the Sheep Creek Formation of Nebraska. It is the type species of Paramiolabis.
It was recombined as Paramiolabis tenuis by Kelly (1992), Honey et al. (1998), Pagnac (2005) and Whistler and Webb (2005).
