Taxonomy
Parectypodus clemensi was named by Sloan (1981). Its type locality is Big Pocket, which is in a Torrejonian terrestrial siltstone in the Nacimiento Formation of New Mexico.
It was recombined as Krauseia clemensi by Vianey-Liaud (1986) and Weil and Krause (2008).
