Taxonomy
Campylocynodon personi was named by Chaffee (1954) [genotype]. Its type locality is Beaver Divide Locality 14, which is in a Chadronian terrestrial horizon in the White River Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Campylocynodon.
It was recombined as Parictis personi by Clark and Beerbower (1967), Clark and Guensburg (1972) and Hunt (1998).
