Pediomeryx hemphillensis
Taxonomy
Pediomeryx hemphillensis was named by Stirton (1936) [genotype]. Its type specimen is UCMP 30703, a mandible (right mandible with p2-m3 moderately worn, ascending ramus and anterior part of jaw missing), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coffee Ranch, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in Texas. It is the type species of Pediomeryx.
